Anuenue, pronounced “ah new aye new aye”, means rainbow in Hawaiian. Often in the early morning, when standing on the beach, looking to the western horizon, rainbows form at sea. At sunset, most miss the rainbows, as most look to the west to see the sunset, while beautiful Hawaiian rainbows form behind them, with the green of the mountains as the backdrop. Anuenue colors of the rainbow , minus a sliver, can be found, on a slope, under a star.
The Hawaiians Islands have many colors and the slopes of ski slopes usaully have only two, white of the snow and green of the various types of pine trees. Driving up to resort that did not #86 MauiSkiBus, anuenue colors were to be seen. Blends of blues, surrounded soft yellows, then add in a bit of vibrant green, and of course, sexy red, was a star minus a sliver of of a view. The sliver of view was not down or up, as this star resort sits in the middle. Snow does fall, blending all to white, however an anuenue glows through. The village of the sliver of Silver of the snow Star, is painted vibrant rainbow colors, easy to uplift any spirits.
MauiSkiBus drove from Silver’s star sister, Big White at night, and stopped at the canyon entrance at an awesome olympus of a bike shop for the night. Upon the west street shore came an anuenue of a Pete, owner of said shop, a welcome was given, a time was set, and MauiSkiBus skied SilverStar as the MauiStar with the SilverStarSkiers. A comet of six was followed down slopes reserved for the SSS dudes and MauiSkiBus made their own lines.
Welcome greetings, the Canadian way, was given by a Robin and a staff of chicks, to MauiSkiBus upon arrival to their silver nest. Upon a departure of the anuenue ski village, MauiSkiBus didn’t need long johns for that Hawaiian nite breeze warmth. #86 resort, belongs to Jim ster and staff at SilverStar, BC.
