Most yoga studios make a scene, as in an interior scene adorning their walls. Paintings of Buddah, colorful scenes of surreal mystic places, silk cloths of rainbow shades, artwork form the Far East, numerous flyers of future retreats, cards of instructors and massage therapists, and items for sale. This creativity is needed in most yoga studios, and MauiSkiBus has admired and taken many photos of the interior of studios/shalas it has visited during the 2015 ski season. One studio visited need zero items on their walls of any sort. A yoga center had windows that opened to the Yampa River, which flowed so close by, opened eyes could easily imagine doing poses in the river, only needing steam for warmth.
Charming Alexandra, Alex of the Yoga Center of Steamboat, situated nearly in the Yampa River in the heart of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, has a studio that MauiSkiBus wanted as a river view home. Soft and gentle Patty, certified with many Chopra talents, led a class that started with peace, so peaceful, the flakes of snow falling outside the windows of view, could be heard, packing on top of each other, awaiting MauiSkiBus’s thighs to delight in on Steamboat Mountain.
Another class, another studio, another pose, another reason why yoga, is growing, multiplying in leaps and bounds. From studios in ski mountain top lodges, luxurious resorts at the bases, pre and post ski day classes, multiple room yoga studios, upper end bike shops, and one nearly in a mountain river. Steamboat has a yoga center with a view worthy of any $10,000,000 exclusive ski chalet. When it is -10 below, dreams of sleeping the night away in here, will dance inside of MauiSkiBus, as a dream of nighttime delight.
